Consumer Audio Products

Having been a Product Manager for most of my career, Metcalfe has been responsible for concepting, defining, developing the business case, and working with cross functional teams to develop the following products.

 

From market analysis and design concepting to engineering validation (EV) / design validation (DV), to production validation (PV) and eventually product launch (including go to market strategy), he has been managing complex product lines for multiple brands simultaneously, from cradle to grave for many years on a global scale.

Professional Audio Projects

This is where it all started.  Designing amazing audio systems for the UK's (and beyond) leading entertainment venues, from nightclub to football stadium.

 

After meeting with the architect, consultant or customer, the involved process of modelling the venue in CAD would take place, designing the best audio installation for the venue type, then demostrating, specifying, overseeing and supporting installation, training and eventually commissioning to hand over ready for the opening night.

Professional Audio Products

Working for Yamaha Commercial Audio brought Metcalfe into a product marketing role, however product marketing for a $200,000 digital mixing console is slightly different than product marketing on the consumer side.

 

We knew our customers by name, provided support in the field second to none and launched software upgrades based on feedback from a our key users.
